Envelope System: How to make your own.

A couple of years ago, we decided we needed to use the envelope system in order to keep better track of what we were spending each month.  I began by using plain small envelopes, but they quickly would fall apart and I was constantly replacing them.  The other problem was that they easily would fall out of my wallet when I would open it to pay for something.

All that changed when I happened upon this pattern.  I think the only thing I would change is that I would try to laminate the envelopes before using them, simply because the corners sometimes still get caught in the zipper.  I have used these for almost a year now.  There is some wear and tear, but for the most part I am very happy with them (and they don't fall out).
